Blue Garden Tiles was conceived from my passion for the azulejos (Portuguese tiles) that embellish the streets, homes, shops, gardens, and any space that allows for the addition of these fabulous mosaics, throughout Portugal. I was introduced to this form of art through my Portuguese grandparents, inciting my interest and fascination in the practice. My tiles are hand glazed and hand painted, no stencils or imprints are used. I apply the same techniques that have been used for over four centuries, which ensures that the tiles are durable and temperature-tolerant. I hope you enjoy my tiles. Some were inspired by antique mosaics, some were uniquely created in my studio, using my own drawings. In either case, they were all made with love!
