House on the Hill: One 6" hand painted trivet

Hand painted trivet, on a 6" tile, with a sweet country house image. Housewarming gift.

Ceramic tile. Imperfections may show, due to being hand glazed and hand painted. Cork can be damaged if in th dish washer. Swiping with a wet cloth is the best way to clean the trivet.

Our work preserves the tradition of hand painted tiles, brought in Europe by the Moors in the 14th century. It includes the way of preparing the glaze and the cobalt wash. Heat, or any abrasive cleaning applications do not affect the integrity of our tiles, that are meant to be conserved for centuries!
