In the Garden: 12 hand painted 4.25" tiles

Panel is formed by 12 hand painted 4-1/4" tiles: blue and white French country / Delft.

Background glaze is off white.

There are six blank tiles with painted corners only; four unique, and delicate designs of garden insects (dragonfly, butterfly, snail, and caterpillar), and two wild flowers: one with tiny ladybugs, and another with a honeybee. More of the blank tiles can be purchased in a different order.

Some imperfections may show due to being hand-painted, hand-glazed and kiln fired. These ceramic tiles are prepared for wall covering.

Our work preserves the tradition of hand painted tiles, brought in Europe by the Moors in the 14th century. It includes the way of preparing the glaze and the cobalt wash. Heat, or any abrasive cleaning applications do not affect the integrity of our tiles, that are meant to be conserved for centuries!

We will be happy to take special orders of any sizes! However, it might take more time to deliver, depending on the size of the order. This time can be stipulated upfront.
