Set of 9 tiles. Red and white French country / Delft 4-1/4” tiles. Background glaze is off white. Tiles are blank, only corners are hand painted. This set is a variation of the Blue and White French Country/Delft tiles.
Some imperfections may show due to being hand-painted and hand-glazed (bisque tiles made in Mexico) and kiln fired.
These ceramic tiles are prepared for wall covering.Our work preserves the tradition of hand painted tiles, brought in Europe by the Moors in the 14th century. It includes the way of preparing the glaze and the wash. Heat, or any abrasive cleaning applications do not affect the integrity of our tiles. They are meant to be conserved for centuries!
