The Edge of the Forest - set of twelve 4.25" hand painted tiles

This is one of our unique creations, and can be customized to include additional images.
Background glaze is off-white, and images are light blue - a very delicate feel.

In this set we have one of each: fox, deer, dove, crow, wild rabbit, and squirrel. Six blank tiles with the same corner pattern are included in the set. Additional blank tiles with the same corner detail can be purchased in a different order, and more wild animals can be included in a special order.

Imperfections may show due to being hand glazed and hand painted.

Our work preserves the tradition of hand painted tiles, brought in Europe by the Moors in the 14th century. It includes the way of preparing the glaze and the cobalt wash. Heat, or any abrasive cleaning applications do not affect the integrity of our tiles. They are meant to be conserved for centuries!
